September 2021 e-calendar featuring our former student, Tristan Lim

We are proud to feature Tristan Lim, a former student at CEFL Damansara Jaya (previously TTDI), for our September e-calendar. Tristan is studying his Master’s in Design Engineering at Imperial College London, UK. He took classes at CEFL from Junior English to C1 Advanced level English. We are especially proud of his 100% score in the Cambridge Assessment English B2 First exam!

What started as a reluctance to read books turned out to be a life-changing moment for Tristan because of the encouragement from his CEFL teacher. He began developing a thirst for knowledge, reading more and more books. He also found confidence in English communication thanks to the UK-standard listening and speaking tasks at CEFL. Some of his most impressive achievements were winning the title of National Champion in Taylor’s University’s 1 Million Dreams 2017 business pitch competition and achieving band 8.5 out of 9.0 in IELTS! Studying abroad is no walk in the park, but Tristan got first class grades in his first two years of engineering school! His sporty side has also led him to represent Imperial in the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) Outdoor Archery Championships.

The thirst for knowledge Tristan obtained has pushed him to excel in academics and in life. We hope that wherever life takes him, his curiosity and thirst for knowledge will never end!
